If you’re just starting out in soccer you probably don’t want to invest a whole lot of cash in expensive, top of the line soccer cleats. Luckily the best cheap soccer cleats are still very good quality.
They’ll give you a few years of occasional use. More than enough time to decide whether you’re serious enough about playing soccer to purchase those top end soccer cleats you’ve got your eyes on.
Here we list our top six pairs and review the best three for you in detail.
Consider This
When playing soccer one of the most important things is traction and agility. Soccer is a fast-paced sport and you’ll need to be able to keep up with the other team members as well as chase down the ball.
Soccer cleats should be comfortable and provide high traction for grassed environments. Traditionally, rubber cleats were the preferred option but recently synthetic cleats have become popular. And indeed many synthetic cleats are good if not better than rubber ones. Although rubber generally provides more shock absorption on hard ground.

Buying Information
Other than sizing there are a few things you’ll need to consider when considering your potential purchases. There are many different types of soccer cleats on the market and I’s important to understand what to look for when comparing cleats.
- Rubber vs. Synthetic cleats. Rubber provides more cushioning and shock absorption, whereas synthetic tends to be longer lasting.
- Cleat size depends on what type of field you are playing on. Spongy fields suit big cleats as the cleat will need to go into the grass further to get the same traction. But big cleats on hard fields will cause you to become easily unbalanced.
- Shoes should be tight fitting, but with enough toe room to wiggle your toes comfortably. Shoes should not crimp your toes at all.
- Cleats generally have reinforced toe support, and this is a big benefit during matches as you’ll be able to kick the ball harder and further with toe support.
- Correct heel and ankle support is a must and cleats should support your feet in even the most awkward of manoeuvers.
Top 3 Best Cheap Soccer Cleats Reviews
1. adidas Performance
Generally we see adidas in the higher end of the pricing ranges, and it’s easy to see why with their consistently high quality range of shoes. However we’ve managed to find a cheap alternative to their other soccer cleats.
The quality of these shoes is still very high, in fact you’ll probably not notice much difference between these and more expensive cleats in the adidas range. These cleats will last you many years, even with a lot of abuse from trips and falls as you test your agility on the field.
We loved thed EVA midsole support – a feature that we usually only see in higher end cleats. And indeed this is the only shoe in our list with an EVA midsole.
The synthetic sole provided excellent traction in our tests and will last a lot longer than equivalent rubber cleats. The classic soccer cleat styling on these shoes compliments them well, and they’ll be one of the shoes you keep hold of after you’ve worn them out.
2. Vizari Infinity
Vizari are a budget range soccer cleat yet they offer considerably high quality shoes for beginner players. Although these are no adidas, they provide more than enough foot support and are made very well.
We loved the classic styling on this pair, and the black and white coloring really suited them. There is plenty of foot support, although they don’t have EVA midsole support. We found that the heel and ankle support provided enough stability for us during our tactical, jarring movements too.
3. Vizari Striker
Compared to the Infinity the style of the striker is much more modern and will appeal to the younger generation of players. We loved the silver with the black and found these shoes to be very appealing to the eye.
And again Vazari delivers on quality with a comfortable fit, toe support and great traction on the cleats. These shoes are more lightweight than the Infinity and we loved that about them. At times it felt like we were bouncing down the field – light as a feather.
Again we see a synthetic sole, and great quality materials and stitching. It’s clear these shoes will last a long time. And for a very affordable price these really are one of the best cheap soccer cleats we tested.
